Out door walks in the forest or on the beach stimulates the urge to paint and working with layers of landscape from back ground, middle ground to foreground is similar to assembling building blocks of a puzzle to fit together in stacked perspective to create the whole composition.   It is amazing to see the vast number of colors in a single landscape from yellow greens, grey greens to blue greens in the summer.  Add a living creature and the interest is even richer.
